As a trans-regional partnership of lawyers and insolvency administrators, we act exclusively in the areas of insolvency administration and insolvency law. Whilst safeguarding the interests of creditors in corporate insolvencies, we also see ourselves as having a special social responsibility. As such, we have targeted the preservation of companies which in turn leads to a more secure employment environment.

The basis of our success is the interdisciplinary orientation of our law firm. Business economists and controllers, specialist lawyers working in the fields of insolvency law, corporate and commercial law, labour law, the laws surrounding the regulation of credit securities as well as graduate commercial lawyers all actively support our insolvency practitioners. It is this combination of business and legal expertise which allows us to preserve the very substance of companies, and thus save jobs.

Following the introduction of the Act for the Further Facilitation of Restructuring of Companies 2012 (Gesetz zur weiteren Erleichterung der Sanierung von Unternehmen - the so called ESUG), we have integrated the organisational possibilities as laid down by this legal framework into our range of services to further facilitate the restructuring of companies. As a consequence, we have been able to support well-known companies throughout the practical implementation of restructuring work.

Alongside traditional insolvency administration, an integral part of the firm's area of competence includes the implementation of self-administration (debtor-in-possession) proceedings, creditor protection proceedings and trustee activities under the ESUG.

Under the Insolvency Code Reform (act serving to further facilitate the restructuring of companies), introduced on March 1, 2012, we have integrated the instruments of law for facilitating the reorganisation of companies into our service offer and have been able to accompany notable proceedings with the practical implementation of the restructuring work.

Besides insolvency administration, especially the implementation of debtor-in-possession-proceedings, “insolvency protection proceedings” and the work of trustees according to the ESUG, are part of our area of expertise.
